Sillad: Monarch of Frost in Solo Leveling

In Solo Leveling, the Monarchs are nine entities of destruction among the most powerful in the universe, opposed to the Rulers (the Fragments of the Brilliant Light) in a millenary cosmic war. For an overview of this mythology, see the complete guide on the Rulers and Monarchs.

Sillad, the Monarch of Frost in Solo Leveling

Who is Sillad?

Sillad is the Monarch of Frost, one of the nine Monarchs of Solo Leveling. Master of cold and ice, he embodies the frozen power capable of freezing his enemies and turning a battlefield into a frozen wasteland.

Frost is one of the most relentless elemental forces in the universe: slow, inexorable, it stifles all resistance.

A glacial power in the service of destruction

Like his peers, Sillad puts his domain to work for the common goal of the Monarchs: to annihilate the Rulers and subjugate the world. Cold thus becomes a siege weapon as much as an instrument of terror.

His place among the nine Monarchs

Sillad completes the pantheon of Monarchs alongside figures like Baran, the Monarch of White Flames. The opposition between Sillad's frost and Baran's flames illustrates the diversity of forces gathered in this camp.

The origins of the Monarchs

The Monarchs were born to destroy: that is their raison d'être in the cosmology of Solo Leveling, where they eternally oppose the Rulers. Sillad's frost, which freezes and suffocates all life, is fully in line with this logic of extinction.

The Monarchs, gates, and Sung Jin-Woo

The invasion of the Monarchs is prepared through the gates that tear through our world. It is this danger that justifies the existence of hunters and the secret plan of the Shadow Monarch. Discover how the gates and dungeons work, the System that provides level-ups, and the journey of Sung Jin-Woo, the heir to the Shadow Monarch.
