Jima: Sung Jin-Woo's sea serpent shadow

Sung Jin-Woo's Shadow Army isn't just made up of knights and giant insects; it is also home to monstrous creatures from the depths. Jima, the sea serpent shadow armed with a trident, is a perfect example. Here is the story of this atypical shadow soldier and his surprising power.

Jima, Sung Jin-Woo's sea serpent shadow in Solo Leveling

Who is Jima?

Jima is one of Sung Jin-Woo's shadow soldiers. His distinguishing feature: he is a very large, sea serpent-like creature that wields a trident. His impressive appearance contrasts with humanoid shadows like Igris — Jima embodies the monstrous and aquatic facet of the army.

From Naga to Jima: the birth of the shadow

As always with the Shadow Monarch's power, a shadow is born from the death of an enemy. Jima is the shadow of the boss Naga, defeated by Jin-Woo and then extracted and renamed. Although slightly smaller than the original beast, the shadow retains comparable power — level 13, just like the boss it came from. To understand this mechanic, see the dungeons and bestiary and the Sung Jin-Woo file.

His power: size manipulation

Jima's most remarkable ability is size manipulation: by drawing on mana, the shadow can grow and increase in stature. A formidable aptitude that allows him to crush his opponents with his mass, in addition to his trident. Few shadows possess such a unique power.

A shadow among a legendary army

Jima joins the ranks of an army that includes elite soldiers like Beru, Igris, and Greed. Each shadow brings a unique ability: it is this diversity that makes the Shadow Monarch strong. Discover them all in the dossier on the Shadow Army.
