Iron is one of the named soldiers in Sung Jin-Woo's shadow army in Solo Leveling. Discreet but reliable, he is one of those recurring shadows that fans recognize at a single glance.
Iron, who is he?
Iron is a shadow soldier serving the Shadow Monarch. A former fighter who fell in battle, he was brought back into Jin-Woo’s ranks and now serves with total loyalty, like all the soldiers in the army.
How Iron becomes a shadow
Like every member of the army, Iron joins Jin-Woo’s ranks after being extracted through the power of the Shadow Monarch. From an ordinary fighter, he becomes an enduring and obedient shadow.
His role in the shadow army
Iron counts among the reliable shadows that Jin-Woo deploys on the front lines or for guard missions. Alongside Tank and the other soldiers, he forms the backbone of this growing legion.
Iron and the other soldiers
The shadow army brings together soldiers with varied profiles, from the most powerful like Beru or Igris to lower-ranking soldiers. Iron clearly illustrates this strength in numbers that makes Sung Jin-Woo’s power unique.
Iron in the anime and manhwa
We encounter Iron throughout Jin-Woo's rise. To follow the full expansion of the shadow army, nothing beats diving into the manhwa and the light novel.
